| PERFORMING RESISTANCE ist ein Zusammenschluss von Theater-, Tanz- und Performanceschaffenden, KünstlerInnen, VermittlerInnen und Theoretiker-Innen mit dem Ziel, Kunst als aktiven Widerstand einzusetzen: GEGEN die Diskriminierung von Menschen gem. Art. 2 der allgemeinen Erklärung der Menschenrechte: "nach Rasse, Farbe, Geschlecht, Sprache, Religion, politischer oder sonstiger Überzeugung, nationaler oder sozialer Herkunft, nach Eigentum, Geburt oder sonstigen Umständen" sowie nach sexueller Orientierung. FÜR weltoffene Grundwerte. GEGEN Zensur durch ökonomische und rechtliche Mittel FÜR künstlerische Freiheit und für Meinungsvielfalt GEGEN konformistischen Normalisierungsdruck FÜR kritische Kreativität GEGEN neoliberale Komplizenschaft von Politik und Medien FÜR sozial gerechte politische Praxis Performing Resistance äußert sich seit Anfang Februar 2000 durch Aktionen, Interventionen im öffentlichen Raum und mediale Statements mit den Mitteln zeitgenössischer darstellender Kunst; sie will irritieren, auf geplante/bestehende Mißstände aufmerksam machen und, die subtilen Möglichkeiten der Performance nutzend, Kritik üben. Performing Resistance beteiligt sich an der Debatte zur Begründung eines neuen demokratischen Wertekatalogs im Rahmen eines zeitgemäßen erweiterten Kunstbegriffs und steht in Opposition zu einem reaktionären und unpolitischen Gefälligkeitsschaffen. Performing Resistance wird die Wachstums-Harmonie eines blau-schwarzen Machtproporzes stören und polizeistaatlichen Kontroll-mechanismen entgegentreten. Performing Resistance plädiert für die sofortige Auflösung dieser Regierungskoalition. |
PERFORMING RESISTANCE is an alliance of people who’re active in the fields of theater, dance and performance, of artists, mediators and theoreticians and is based on the objective to use art as a means of active resistance: AGAINST the discrimination of people according to article 2 of the General Declaration of Human Rights: "based on race, color, sex, language, religion, political or other belief, national or social origin, property, birth or other circumstances" as well as based on sexual orientation. FOR cosmopolitan basic values. AGAINST censorship through economic or legal means FOR artistic freedom and for diversity of opinion AGAINST conformist pressure of normalization FOR critical creativity AGAINST neo-liberal conspiracy of politics and media FOR political practice that is socially just Performing Resistance has been expressing itself since early February 2000 through activities, interventions in public space and through medial statements by means of contemporary performing art; it wants to irritate, draw people’s attention to planned/existing grievances and criticize using the subtle possibilities of performance. Performing Resistance participates in the discussion about the formation of a democratic catalogue of values within the frame of an up-to-date, expanded term of art and is in opposition to a reactionary and unpolitical creation of kindness. Performing Resistance will disturb a growth harmony of a blue and black power of proportional representation and counter police-state-like controlling mechanisms. Performing Resistance pleads for the immediate dissolution of this governmental coalition. |
PERFORMING RESISTANCE es una asociación de creadores de teatro, danza y performance, artistas, comunicadores e intelectuales que consideran el arte como resistencia activa: CONTRA la discriminación de los seres humanos (según el árt. 2 de la Declaración de los Derechos Humanos) : „ por su raza, color, género, lengua, religión, convicciones políticas u otras; por su orígen nacional o social; por su patrimonio, nacimiento u otras circunstancias“, así como por su orientación sexual. A FAVOR de los valores básicos universalistas. CONTRA la censura proveniente de los medios jurídicos y económicos A FAVOR de la creatividad artística y diversidad de opinión CONTRA la presión normalizadora y conformista A FAVOR de la creatividad crítica CONTRA la complicidad de los políticos y medios de comunicación neoliberales A FAVOR de una práctica política socialmente justa Performing Resistance desde principios de febrero de 2000 se viene pronunciando mediante diversas acciones e intervenciones en espacios públicos, asi como mediante declaraciones en medios de comunicacion sirviéndose de técnicas escénicas contemporáneas; con el propósito de irritar, llamar la atención sobre ciertas situaciones irregulares ya existentes o por llegar, y de criticar utilizando para ello las posibilidades sutiles del performance, Performing Resistance está comprometida con la construcción de un catálogo de valores nuevo y democrático dentro del marco de un concepto más amplio de arte contemporáneo y está en oposición a prácticas artísticas acomodaticias, reaccionarias y apolíticas. Performing Resistance perturbará el entendimiento interesado de la coalición liberal-conservadora austríaca y se opondrá a los mecanismos de control de un estado policíaco. Performing Resistance aboga por una disolución inmediata de esta coalición de gobierno. |
